We survived our first major parents' weekend and Leavers' Ball. Benanna did a sterling job handing around the canapes at our pre-ball drinks with our Year 13s and their parents. We had a fairly stress-free evening saying goodbye to our lovely senior boys. We very bravely held Benanna's combined 9th and 6th birthday parties on Sunday. Fortunately, some of their 63 Big Brothers from the house were on hand to help with the treasure hunt, games on the cabbage patch field outside, and the arduous task of manning the chocolate fountain. We held the party in the library's "Silence Room" adjoining our flat (well, not that day). Star Wars inspired snacks included stormtroopers' fingers and cosmic candy floss, while the girlies indulged in kitten cupcakes and homemade rainbow jelly. Mum and Dad lived to plan another party...
