It's fast becoming our little Saturday afternoon tradition: cycling up to the top of the school campus to the ropes' course and spending half an hour or so monkeying around in the trees...

Happy Burns' Day
Annie was delighted to make it through to the big final of Class P1's Burns' Day Poetry Recital today with her rendition of Scottish Wee Willie Winkie ("runs through the toun" etc. etc). She came second and was the proud recipient of a certificate "with a gold star".
Now she just needs to work on the accent.

New Year's Day
Thanks to the Barnes family for hosting us at their hotel in Ulverston for the weekend! Fortunately the snow stayed away and we kicked the year off to a great start with a hefty walk up a Cumbrian fell, without a single whinge (and the kids were fine with it too).
Edinburgh
Another great few days in Edinburgh: thanks to the Chapmans for organising a walk up Corstorphine Hill and tickets for "The Secret Garden" musical at the Fesival Hall.
