And we are ready for the Summer half term

We are heading to France for a week of camping with the Burbidges from Hartfield. Should be fun, with kids running wild, reading a good book and drinking red wine. Here is hoping for good weather!

Some corker shots from the Fields

Couldn't resist putting up more pics taken over the bank holiday weekend at the beginning of the month after Lou sent me these: clearly the Fields have more photographic talent/better equipment?!

Going for a walk around Bloxham.

Happy families?

Checking out the school's athletic track. (Note the struggling old Selbornians...)

Dean and Tristan enjoying lunch.

Anna charming Dave.

Look at him go!

Who needs Venture photography?!

Topsy Turvy

Happy Birthday to Ben who turned five yesterday! We had his "Topsy Turvy" party this afternoon and after two hours with twenty kiddies and their parents around the house, we are feeling pretty shattered!

The party was a hit: we sang "Birthday Happy dear Neb"; the cake was choc and vanilla mixed and had a huge back-to-front 5 on the top; the party bags were socks; party food was served in pots, pans, egg boxes (breadsticks in a kettle!)...you get the idea. Can't say wearing a shirt and necklace back to front was the most comfortable (the things we do for our kids). It was a great afternoon (despite the Great British weather not playing the game and not being able to go outside for even a second because of the constantly pouring rain!). Thanks so much to all who phoned, sent messages, cards and lovely gifts.

Great excitement opening presents yesterday morning.

Lucky Ben with some of his haul...

Topsy Turvy party-goers say "Cheese".

Music games: Get down and boogie!

Ben, Harriet, Anna and Josh taking some much-needed "down time" after the party (thanks Amy for the cool face-painting!)

Bank Holiday Weekend

All dressed up and about to hit the Bloxham School Founders' Ball on Saturday night with Robin (Philip's school colleague) and Michelle (about to pop) Thomspon, Robin and Rebecca Hill (friends from the village) and Dave and Gill. (Benj and Amy Hector joined us later).

Yay - The Fields and granny Marlo spent the weekend with us in Bloxham too! Amber tries out Ben's goggles in the bath.

Around the braai (where else?): Dave, Philip, Dean and Marlo.
